Who should take the TNCC course?
TNCC is designed for RNs caring for trauma patients across emergency, ICU, flight/transport, and acute care settings. Many organizations also use TNCC as part of onboarding, trauma designation support, and professional development.
Is TNCC “certification” and how long is it valid?
TNCC is a standardized education course from ENA. Successful completion earns a TNCC provider verification that is commonly recognized for 4 years (your facility policy may vary).
What are the prerequisites to attend?
You must be a licensed RN (or in an RN role per your facility’s policy). We strongly recommend current foundational life support training (as required by your role/facility). If there is assigned pre-course work for your class, it will be sent in your confirmation email. TNCC non-RN learners now receive non-RN verification cards. Learners will still register for their course as non-RNs but will receive a four-year non-RN verification card after passing the skills station testing and online exam.
What is the course format and how long is it?
TNCC includes evidence-based trauma content, scenario-based learning, and a hands-on skills component. Course length varies by learner type (initial vs renewal) and delivery plan. Your registration details will list the exact schedule.
What do I need to bring on class day?
Bring a government ID, note-taking materials, and be prepared for active participation. If your course requires a specific manual/eBook access, you’ll receive instructions with your enrollment confirmation.
How do I renew TNCC?

Do you offer group rates or private classes for hospitals?
